Parasound NewClassic D 200 Universal Player

Parasound NewClassic D200 DVD Player
Parasound has introduced its first DVD Player - NewClassic D 200. The unit is priced at $1500 and can play virtually anything: DVD-Audio, SACD, DVD+/-R/RW, MP3, WMA, JPEG, Kodak Picture CDs, and DivX video. D200 has a bass management functionality for DVD Audio and SACD sources. SACD DSD bitstream is piped directly into the DAC which eliminates intermediate conversion deteriorations. Audio DACs are 192KHz/24-bit with no information on manufacturer.
On the video side, player has an HDMI output with upconversion to 720p/1080i done by Faroudja DCDi chip. Unless you going to be using digital output, it would output video using 214Mhz/12-bit DAC.
The D200 will be available in fourth quarter of 2005.
